Lake View Guest House

My sister and I have just spent 4 nights at Christines and Peters friendly guest house right in the centre of Bowness, with lots to do (access to Lake Windermere unlike Windermere town itself) and buses and boats to all areas of the Lakes for walks and not having to worry about parking. The room was massive with a sofa and a fridge! Which was greatly appreciated as we like to pack our own lunches for walks and have faddy diets, so unfortunately we didnt take advantage of the breakfast, but it looked and smelt great for just 6. We dont know what the last reviewer is on about, as this place had everything we needed and the hosts (Peter and Christine) were so friendly, insisting on carrying our bags, giving us advice where to go, and offering room service - which we declined as unlike the last reviewer - we dont expect clean sheets every couple of days and prefer to be kind to the environment. Yes the water took a while to get just right, but my sister lives in a big old house and has the same problem. We could not complain at all.. especially for what we paid Great value for money and more importantly a warm welcome without being intrusive. Perfect and well be back!
