We are here in the Lake District for a short break and called at The Cornish bakery yesterday for a coffee and a muffin. We had the raspberry and white chocolate one which was delicious I thought it would be very sweet but it was just right so don't let the ingredients put you off, order one. Can I just say the two young people serving were so nice even when I had to walk over their freshly washed floor when I went to the Ladies. We went in just before they were closing but they didn't rush us out in fact they told us not to rush. Would definitely recommend this bakery.

Food was nice,but you couldn't have a conversation with your partner cos the staff were so loud in there own conversation. Couldn't wait to get out. We did bother with cake it was that bad.

Awful service by the young man working in the coffee shop/ bakery. So rude to customers telling them to move on and leave even when there was 30 mins or so left before closing. We literally had bought our coffees and sat down only to be told to get up and leave!!! Stop serving customers if you are closing and dont take peoples money if youre going to throw them out!! Disgraceful behaviour! The young girl then without gloves taking away all the pastries from the window display and shoving them away whilst continuously wiping hands on her dirty apron from the day as we and others that were told to move watched in horror from across the road.shocking !!!!!
