    I would not use wintax again. Booked a taxi from Gatwick S to Winchester for 2:30 am . The quote I was given was 125 + parking charge. The driver arrived at 3:15 and the reason given was he had to drop someone at Gatwick N and then thought he was picking me up from the despite of of me clearly mentioning pick up is from Gatwick S. Then I was charged 145 + parking charge and got told the quote given was for day service and not night despite of me making the booking for 2:30am. Absolutely poor service and so much miscommunication. NB : after a lot of perusing i was given a discount of 10. Personally I feel Wintax had to take responsibility for their mistake and charged me what they quoted Service: Airport transport

    ordered the taxi and the office said that the tax would arrive within the next ten minutes, half hour later i got an automated message with a link to track my driver. driver stood still for fill five minutes, to then drive towards me. straight away i noticed that the route the driver wanted to follow was the longest one possible, aiming to get the most miles in order to earn more money, they were aware that i was a student and tried to treat me like i was stupid. once the driver arrived, i immediately asked to change the route given and to go the quickest way, where he got up google maps to follow the route, he assured me he would, but then proceeded to ignore the directions and go his own way - more miles yet again ! while driving, the driver made some careless mistakes which could have resulted in an accident. upon arrival home, the driver proceeded to over charge me as he took cash as well as card and didnt calculate the cash correctly (intentional), and charged me extra on my card. i dont recommend this service, different services would have been used if it was possible.

    Unfortunately, I had to use this service for a year, to go to work, because that's the only option for me. I have to say, most of the times, the service was fine, but I could never feel confident that they would turn up in time. I was late for appointments, to work, and they didn't want to take us when we had an emergency with our dog, that was almost dying (which I think it's inhuman). I understand it's up to the drivers, but then they should have a dog friendly driver, for those of us that don't have a car. Drivers are mostly kind and polite, but I met a few that were talking on the phone, with speakers on, the whole trip, which doesn't seem very professional, and it's dangerous. Overall, I can't wait to stop depending on this service and I hope it can improve in the future.
