I recently attended a mental health first aid course run by Tom Cleary. Tom was an excellent trainer - very well informed, engaging and supportive. I feel much better equipped to support someone experiencing a mental health issue. I would definitely recommend Tom's training.

Mental Health is never an easy subject. However, Tom's compassionate and non-judgmental approach to delivering the Mental health First Aid training was exemplary. He was very aware of the impact this serious and sensitive subject could have on the attendees and was monitoring and supporting us throughout. I felt extremely safe, in his hands and have completed the course with so much more knowledge. I hope I get to work with Tom again.

Tom was recommended to us to work with our 10 year old son who needed help for high anxiety and low self esteem. Tom was fantastic, his calm approach won the trust of our son and Tom constantly reevaluated what was working to create a bespoke programme for him. This has given him the tools to self regulate his emotions effectively and made a huge difference to his day to day life at home and school.

I am currently working 1:1 with Tom via Zoom. He really listens to you and constantly adapts sessions based on what will be most effective for you. He is calm, kind and consistent. I have had quite a lot of experience with different therapy styles and therapists. I know that myself and others can feel nervous starting any form of therapy and I would happily recommend Tom in an instant. You feel validated and respected when talking about your struggles, not embarrassed, and he makes suggestions based on what you are finding helpful / less helpful as you go along. I've also taken part in some group workshops Tom has run via Zoom and they were great too. Interactive but not dependent on you openly revealing anything you don't wish to. He's great, so if you're considering booking a session - I recommend you give Tom a try.

After suffering from anxiety about heights for years Tom was extremely helpful in teaching me the techniques that would help me deal with these situations. His calm and sensitive approach was invaluable and I would thoroughly recommend him. JG Hampshire
