        We came for a Swimming Competition at the local leisure center, and the location was perfect in being a short and pleasant walk away. The early and extremely satisfactory breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choices. We only had one evening meal, which again was very good, but due to a function, couldn't eat in on the second night. The staff through out were very cheerful and helpful. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

        A excellent location, good staff, decent parking. The hotel requires updating - the "prestige" room had thread bare carpets, bleach stains on the carpet, A/C didn't work, towel rail didn't work half the bathroom mirror lights didn't work. It's handy to be in the centre of Winchester and the Cathedral view is lovely, the actual room lets this hotel down though.
