Royal Hampshire County Hospital

I have recently been into Royal Hampshire County Hospital for a total knee replacement, 19/4/23. I was cared for in the Burrell Wing Treatment Centre. I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent team of people I encountered both on the ward and throughout the hospital. Without exception, they were all first class. Their high standards of care and compassion for all of the patients on the ward was wonderful. Professional attitude with smiles and good humour, the entire team treated me with respect and dignity at all times. My new knee is already changing my life! The food was also really good, great choice. Nowhere else in the world offers this magnificent service,we are very fortunate in this country.

Having broken my wrist in a skating accident I attended A&E. The quick and efficient care was second to none, the team were amazing. I had my follow up today at the fracture clinic and again the care was exemplary. Running ahead of schedule for my 9.40 appointment was re-plastered, re-xrayed and home within 90 minutes!

This hospital has no knowledge of personality disorders locked me in despite me trying to explain myself to them I'm disgusted

Wife with terminal cancer was booked by Basingstoke hospital (so it was all pre arranged)into a ward for a given time..7 hours later and left in chronic pain alongside neglected elderly patients in the waiting room they only responded after I complained several times despite seeing staff standing around doing absolutely nothing during that time frameterrible customer service..NHS is a disgrace..not because of so called staff shortages but because of utterly inept management of resources..you have to see it to believe it though
