The Walcote Practice

We had to have a medical for a new job overseas. The Walcote Practice knew exactly what to do, got us in quickly and had our reports and test results ready within days. They also offered us some helpful advice on the results received. Both Drs and reception staff have been excellent, extremely professional and diligent in meeting our needs. After trying to contact my NHS practice to help with my continuing fatigue and general feeling below par, I had an appointment with Dr Hillier. He has a fantastic listening style and considers the whole picture, not just treating the symptoms. I'm feeling a lot better, and will be back for a check up very soon. Thank you!

Updated Christmas 2022: Dr Hillier saved our Christmas! My little boy had been suffering from repeated fevers and generally being under the weather for almost a week, and the NHS 111 service (the GP once you get past approx. 100 triage points, and even the suggestion that we visit a pharmacist!), was getting us nowhere. We visited Dr Hillier who immediately diagnosed the condition, prescribed the necessary medication, and our little boy was back to his normal self within a couple of days. I truly believe that if we had waited, we would likely have spent a significant period (during COVID!!) in and out of hospital over the period. My previous review 2020: I contacted this GP surgery about a specific 'health check' and received a reply from the lead doctor within minutes of my email. A booking was then arranged by the friendly staff at the practice, at my convenience. Various tests were carried out then and there and a full report with recommendation was emailed to me the following day. I would definitely recommend using this surgery if you have a health concern and, for peace of mind, want to expedite the process.
