        Winchester GP was recommended to us by Spire Healthcare for private blood tests & an X-ray which were required to obtain a work permit in the EU. To their credit these were organised expediently for around 400. The tests were then required to be apostilled/ legalised by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. This is where we encountered a brick wall. The Doctor in Winchester is not on the Foreign Office list of approved signatories. Our paperwork was rejected. A simple solution was offered by the Foreign Office for the GP to give authority for their name to be added & kept on file for future applications. GP Winchester refused. End result, an outlay of 500 total & no work permit. Also a delay of 4 weeks & we were forced to start again.
