Now shut and owner has not paid any of the young servers their last month wages. Not a penny! These young people are students who can ill afford to be without this money. Also hasn't paid suppliers. Terrible business owner who should be ashamed of himself!

Was super happy to drop in on this place for a coffee and catch up with a friend! Great deal for sandwich, hot drink & cake for 12.50! The food was wonderful! The Gent serving us was super friendly and easy to talk to. Wonderful atmosphere and stunning, very instagrammable! Will definitely be back.

Terrible food, bitter coffee and extremely rude Manager. Google needs a 0 star option for this place.

Beautiful looking tea room from the outside but such a disappointment. On what is probably the busiest day of the year, on the Winchester Xmas Market day, there were just 2 servers. We waited ages after ordering for our drinks, and then were told we had to make a separate cake order by choosing our cakes from the counter. There's no cake menu and no gluten-free options. You have to go to the front of the shop counter (where the servers are making the drinks), decide and then remember your cake choice then go and sit back down again and wait for a server to come back over again (good luck with that) so you can then give your cake order! The tables are numbered and the servers are right there in front of the cakes but you can't add to your order as you stand there. They'll talk to you but you can't give them an order. After 20 minutes the other server came over to check what we'd ordered as our order had got lost. The cakes arrived. The brownie was delicious but that's the only good thing I can say. We'd eaten our cakes and still waited for our drinks. Finally they arrived, in the smallest teacups I've ever seen in my life, like dolls House cups. One gulp and it would be all gone. The coffee my husband ordered was very bitter. Worse than that, half the hot chocolate cup was filled with just foam, not liquid. I was astonished. I asked for the cups to be filled to the top with liquid, so off the drinks disappeared... and we waited... and we waited. In the end I was so fed up with waiting, and so desperate to get outside, that we cancelled our order. Sadly we will never go there again. Get more staff, a cake menu and bigger cups! A frustrating, unsatisfying expensive experience. We'll go to Caff Nero next time.
