We are delighted to have upgraded several old lead windows with heritage compliant equivalents. Nathan, Steve and team have also transformed our plain arch window on the stairs to a stunning display of family crests that are connected with the history of the house. The design team patiently recreated detailed designs and expertly developed the scale and colour scheme to provide a unique and colourful talking point for our hall. It has been a pleasure to work with Nathan, Steve and team. Ill be scouting around for reasons to return!

We have been delighted with the skilled work carried out by Sherriff Stained Glass. The damage was noticed in an End of Tenancy survey, 2 small broken panes in panels in the front door. Sherriffs maintained the security whilst the panel was repaired in their workshop, and then refitted exactly as agreed. Thank you!

Really disappointing service. We had an appointment booked, after a really long wait, and on the day no one turned up. After several phone calls I finally got hold of Sophie (not because she ever answered the phone) and it transpired that they require 50% payment ahead of time. My bad for not realising this, but it was not clear and nor did anyone bother to remind me or contact me on the day. We rebooked the appointment (6 weeks later). Sophie did bother to remind me to pay the 50% and told me that the team would be with me at 9am. By 10.15 they were not there. I called Sophie, yet again she did not answer; it is worth mentioning that over the course of 10+ phone calls to this company the phone has never actually been answered. Finally the chaps showed up at 10.30. They came in to start work and decided that they could not complete the project because the wooden part of my window frame was damaged. The reason I asked them to do the work was because it was damaged and I have photographs which show this clearly and were shared before they originally came out to quote. The chap who came to do the quote though, was clearly distracted by the opportunity to prepare an unsolicited quote for a six figure sum to replace all of our windows and therefore didn't bother to look properly at the work we actually needed doing. We obviously complained vociferously and said that we wanted to speak to the managing director. Now more than two weeks on, I am confident that the MD is not going to call. Amusingly enough, when I look on the website, it turns out that it was actually the new MD and business owner Nathan who had come to install our window and he didn't have the guts to admit who he was. Maybe that is why he hasn't called! Sheriff did refund our deposit, but not after Sophie, a women so rude that she should really not be let near customers, had sent a distinctly pointed message about this being "a good will gesture" as we had "decided" to cancel our appointment. ********* And just responding to the points raised by Sheriff in response as they, unfortunately, are not accurate: 1. I agree that you carried out work in 2021, we were pleased with that work; sadly your service has deteriorated significantly since then. 2. 10+ calls were made to your number and they are recorded on my mobile phone. I object to the suggestion that I am lying. 3. You did not attempt to contact me to tell me that your team were late. I did not have any missed calls. Your team was not met with a barrage of abuse when they arrived. 4. My husband asked your team to fix the window; in a situation in which the frame is obviously damaged, I would imagine that would naturally include the frame. You quoted for work that could not possibly be completed because of the state of the frame. 5. My husband disagrees that he asked for the entire house to be quoted for. He did ask for a handful of additional damaged windows to be looked at. You are right that I generally only review when the service I receive is bad. Fortunately that is pretty unusual. On this occasion, I did try and resolve the issue without resorting to google. I asked to speak to your MD and even though he was in fact there in person he did not own up to who he was and no one called me back. I am not sure what else I can reasonably do. Finally, I have not consented for you to use my full name on this review and I am sure your potential customers would like to be aware of your breach of my confidentiality. Please edit your review so that it is removed.
