My husband and I married at St Giles House in September 2022. Everything about the venue was absolute perfection, it has everything you could ever want and more! The St Giles Team were faultless, they went over and beyond at every opportunity to make sure our vision for the wedding came to life.

As a local wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of documenting many weddings and special events at St Giles House, and I can honestly say that it is one of the most beautiful and elegant venues I have ever worked at. St Giles House is a stunning historic mansion that offers a variety of settings for wedding celebrations, from the grandeur of the Great Hall to the intimacy of the Library. The house is full of character and charm, with exquisite details and artworks that create a unique backdrop for photos. The gardens and parkland are equally impressive, with lush greenery and scenic views that change with the seasons. One of the things that makes St Giles House so special is the staff. They are always friendly, helpful and professional, and they go above and beyond to make sure that every wedding runs smoothly and flawlessly. They are attentive to every detail and request, and they work well with other suppliers to ensure a seamless coordination. They are also very respectful of the house and its history, and they take great care of the property and its facilities. I always look forward to returning, as it is a pleasure to document all the excitement of a wedding day in such a stunning location. I would highly recommend St Giles House to anyone looking for a venue that combines elegance, history and nature for their wedding day. It is truly a five-star experience that you will never forget.

St Giles House in Wimborne is one of my new favourite wedding venues in Dorset and with good reason, this place was made for events & celebrations. I photograph weddings all around the UK and across Europe. So, it's amazing to be able to document a wedding a little closer to home and to find a gem like this! Driving up on the morning of the wedding I photographed; it felt like summer had arrived. Couples are cycling down the winding country roads as they enjoy the warming sun on their backs. Hikers are exploring the picturesque Dorset countryside with a sneaky pub lunch on route and kids are playing football in the village streets of Wimborne St Giles. A gorgeous day for a wedding! Its only when you arrive at this charming Country House you realise how stunning it is for a wedding. Built-in the sixteenth century by the first Earl of Shaftesbury and continually improved with his successors. It has now been lovingly restored by the 12th Earl of Shaftesbury. You can see the hard work and dedication that has been undertaken to get this beautiful estate back to its former glory. Each room seems to have a distinct personality, enough for each wedding to have similarities but be equally unique at the same time. Up in the Bridal Suite is probably one of my favourite rooms in the house. Beautifully printed wallpapers adorn the walls with elements of exposed wood & brickwork scattered across, it screams characterall with pools of light cascading in from the large open windows; great for the getting ready part of the wedding. The ceremony is being held in one of the grand side rooms of St Giles House. Large portraits of previous Earls and family members hang with a noble presence on the tall walls as the smily couple exchange vow.s The drinks reception is in front of the house with impressive views of the expansive gardens for everyone to enjoy. One of my favourite areas St Giles House is the stately Cedar tree that imposes itself on the lawn of grounds. The owners decided to build a giant swing with a brass seat hanging to one of its tall branches. Enough space for a couple to get close together or a gang of kids to spin until they get dizzy. When everybody is suitably merry from a few glasses of champagne, its was time to head into the old library room for the wedding breakfast. A magnificent long room adorned with old books collected throughout the buildings great history, enough space for 120 guests to eat and laugh for the next few hours. When its party time, you get an exceptional surprise as you venture down the neon-lit staircase at St Giles House. A custom-built dancefloor in the cellar fitted out with the latest technology for all your family and friends to get their moves going on the dancefloor. St Giles House is a perfect place for couples to celebrate the night away. I would 100% recommend it for Dorset weddings :)
