Despite other reviews this occasion was a letdown. We arrived to be greeted in a rather snippy/passive aggressive way by the owner at the door who informed us that my disabled mothers lap dog (who is also registered as an emotional support animal) was not welcome and if we were to want to continue shopping insinuated that the dog be left in the car. This is clearly not possible with the extreme heat that the region is experiencing nor really is that appropriate any other time of the year. The Dog in question is a very small breed and would not have been walking around but rather carried. I fail to see the issue here when any and all other garden centers I have been too before have not only tolerated dogs with no issues at all but in fact welcomed them. I would suggest that if this had been such an issue for the owner that signage should be displayed in the future to avoid any issues going forth including the loss of trade as unfortunately for this business, I am now going to have to take my considerable budget for the refurbishment of my property elsewhere. Additional: We were frequenting the garden center and not the farm shop however, there is no law in regards to what part of the premises we would have been in. You can take registered guide dogs and support animals into any retail establishment including those deailing in food despite common misconceptions.
