Chalke House Emporium

The emporium is a nice little place full of Niknaks areas marked out for different sellers. Its ok to go and browse around, but observing the covid rules mainly face masks. The emporium is situated inside Wilton Village, check it out when you visit wilton village.

Whilst I agree with supporting small businesses I don't agree with bad customer service. I walked in today to look at stuff and the person at the till was on the phone. Once I found something I liked I went to go to the till and they were still on the phone, they were openly complaining about something. The whole time I was being "served" I had to stand there and feel uncomfortable whilst this person continued complaining. Once I'd paid I wished them a lovely day and received nothing back, I think they were just glad to be able to focus on the call. Now I understand people have things going on and we don't always know the full picture but, I also work customer service and even on days where I have stuff going on I still give my all to the customers because at the end of the day how are they supposed to know. This is one of the few shops in The Guild and if this is the way people get treated, good luck trying to increase people visiting there and from what I saw it was pretty dead already.

On the upper floor in one of the beautiful buildings surrounding the Courtyard, it covers the whole of the top floor. There are many traders that sell their wares in this space, so you're sure to find something for everyone including your pets! I must go back before Xmas to get most of the presents
