James Hindley and the team at theCAVE were exceptional from start to finish in the design and delivery of a large extension to our late Georgian house. Located within a conservation area, the team's design complied with all the guidelines and regulations that apply to full planning consent. James immersed himself in creating a new contemporary space that increased our ground floor footprint by nearly 33%, without overpowering our garden and integrated beautifully with our traditional home. His perfectly balanced transformation between old and new has created a modern open plan kitchen, dining and living area that sits in perfect harmony with our mature garden while bringing the outside inside via two floor to ceiling Crittall walls with doors. The effect is further enhanced by two large parallel light wells that preserve views of the original house with its unique stained glass window feature on the upper deck. James Hindley and his team at theCAVE brought to life and greatly enhanced our initial concept, while staying true to the original brief, and I cannot recommend them highly enough for what they have achieved.
