I have been seeing Aliya once a month for over 10 years for several ailments and general maintenance, so it was a no brainer for me to have sessions twice a month when I and my husband decided to try for a baby! I suffered really badly with my periods (lots of pain, mood swings, bad sleep) as well as a long cycle, and Ali worked magic over several months to calm down every symptom and make my cycle shorter (from 35/38 days down to 29/31). I felt like a different woman each month, it was fabulous! When we fell pregnant, we were incredibly lucky for it to happen the first month of trying; I really do think this was down to the regular acupuncture sessions. I unfortunately seemed to get every pregnancy symptom going (nausea, sciatica, restless legs, insomnia), and towards the end I started to feel really sick again. But working with Ali regularly helped to alleviate all of these and I always left the sessions feeling calmer, more comfortable in my growing body and symptom-free! If you are looking for support with menstrual cycles, fertility and getting & staying pregnant, do not hesitate to book with Ali; she can really tune into what your body needs and is so skilful at what she does. I have known Aliya since 2015 when she first helped me with treatment during my IVF cycles. I then returned to her in 2020 when I was ready to try again for my second. She helped me through very difficult and emotional times. I found her to be very professional, and brilliant at what she does, but more than that, caring and very very supportive. I always recommend her to whoever asks!

I have been having treatments from Aliya since February. She was recommended to me through a friend. I am seeing Aliya for support for menopausal symptoms and migraines. I have found her very intuitive, supportive, gentle and listens with a non-judgemental open heart. I had been diagnosed with unexplained infertility after 3 years of trying for a baby and was referred for a round of IVF on the NHS. Whilst researching IVF, I'd read that acupuncture could be helpful alongside it, so thought I would give it a go. Alongside unexplained infertility, I had irregular bleeding, crippling periods, headaches and insomnia... which I put down to the stress of infertility. After a Google search and a read of reviews, I decided to book to see Aliya in April 2022. I was sceptical, as acupuncture isn't my usual kind of thing, but honestly, after the first session, I felt positive about being able to conceive for the first time in years and couldn't wait to go back. Aliya has a way of putting you at ease immediately, her knowledge and expertise, alongside her calming manner, positivity and kindness was exactly what I needed. From the acupuncture itself, to recommendations on diet, keeping cool and more, I felt like I was taking control of my body. By May 2022 my periods had improved, I felt much better mentally and physically and by July, I was pregnant naturally, something I never thought would happen. If you'd have said a year ago I would be shouting about acupuncture, I would never have believed you. But I am certain that if it wasn't for Aliya's help and expertise, I wouldn't be where I am now! I have continued to see Aliya throughout my pregnancy, which helped keep my calm throughout the early days, and I'm days away from welcoming our newest addition.
