A road bridge that is definitely the best option for getting your car over the river at this spot, given the complete lack of a tunnel, a ferry, a cable car or automotive sized stilts as alternatives in this location. I would say without hesitation that if your car is not completely submersible then by far and away your best strategy is to use this bridge without a shadow of a doubt. There are some great walks in the vicinity of this bridge, so after utilising all of it's going over the water properties, park up at styal country park and go for a stroll.

Lovely walk, very muddy and a little bit boggy but with walking boots on its definitely worth the visit if you want a peaceful walk.
