Catwell House Country House Bed and Breakfast

We had a three night stay during Covid. The old house is charming, the breakfast is fabulous, we felt at ease throughout, but above all the welcome and hospitality from Ross and Becky was wonderful! We ate in on our first night and had the wonderful butternut squash dish. We took our bikes which were easily accommodated in the garden and explored the lovely countryside and its rather steep hills!

I would like to make this review based upon the gentlemen who owns and runs this B&B. I work to the best of my ability as a Paramedic & as you can imagine the last 18months has not been easy. I was attending an emergency call near to this B&B. I required to use their drive to turn our ambulance round as it was an emergency call we attended. This gentlemen came out shouting in my face and became verbally abusive to the face of a Paramedic who was there to treat someone in his community & just do his job. All this, just because I opened your gate to use it & to turn our emergency vehicle around which I was allowed to do in the case of an emergency. The only word that comes to my mind to this day when I think of you is utter disgrace. I really do hope that you feel bad after that day when you shouted in my face, as I will never forget what you did. Lets hope your future customers are treated better than how you treat Paramedics.
