We had a midweek evening meal here with an offer of 2 meals for the price of one. Some of the pints of beer were also on offer. We had meals, a bacon burger and chips, scampi and chips, one and a half pints of draught beer, all for 15. The food and service was excellent.

We walked from the marina for lunch before the storm was due. I had chicken, ham hock and leek pie with mash, peas, green beans and lashings of gravy. It was delicious and hot. I then had apple crumble and custard for dessert, and that too was delicious. Plenty of crumble and plenty of custard. The lady behind the bar took our orders for both drink and food. She then waited on our table, bringing the food when the kitchen signalled with a door bell. This lady worked tirelessly and barely stopped the whole time we were there, so we left her a tip. Personally, I couldn't fault this place. Excellent service and great value, tasty food.
