Spent a few days at Cattells Mill at Millers Rest recently as we were having our bathroom refitted and needed not to be at home. The barn conversion is lovely, currently configured as a one bedroom two storey property with open plan lounge, kitchen, diner and ground floor toilet and first floor bedroom with ensuite. The place is very well equipped with everything you would expect to have at home, complimentary tea, coffee and sugar along with a bottle of milk to start you off. The second day was the hottest day of the year, we just stayed in all day with fans on to keep as cool as we could! Whilst there we visited the Porterhouse pub a 10 minute walk away, very nice would definitely recommend. The auction rooms Cafe, 15 minutes walk, again, very nice, definitely recommend. Rumbles fish bar is a must for a take out, only 5 minutes from the mill so food was still lovely and hot when we got back! Also worth a visit is Weird and Wonderful, a local antiques and curios shop about 15 minutes walk from the mill, lots of lovely things for the home or to give as gifts! All in all we had a great stay, would definitely recommend as a base for visiting the Cambridgeshire area.
