Big Bite Fish & Chips

I live local, and this used to be our family favourite. But unfortunately not now. Over the last year or so, the owners son has been rude, served broken fish, when i declined, he got stroppy. When I asked specifically for Haddock, was served old hard, cod, texture of which I dont like. One of the servers was on holiday. Hes very good. Unfortunately in future Ill take my business elsewhere. Sad to say this. All my extended family shop here too. I asked for pickled onions and gerkin, but only served gerkins which looked soft and stale.

I love this fish and chips shop. I have been coming here for decades. My father also used to be a regular customer. My only concern is that fish and chips is now so expensive to buy. 3 50 for a portion of chips (last time I visited) January 23. Not sure if the price has gone up again since. Also about 12 for cod. I remember years ago you could get fish and chips for 9 or 10 pounds. Now it's over 15.00. It's a lovely meal from Big Bite but just not affordable to have once a week. I now have it once a month or once every couple of months. I would like if Big Bite would fry their chips a little longer to make them a little more golden and crispy. The cod sizes are getting smaller also. I understand the prices have gone up and these guys are great it's a shame I can't visit as often as I'd like to.
