Played Broadway golf club today. Very nice facilities and the course was pristine. The club house was very nice and the members of staff helpful and welcoming. It's a challenging course and tight on some places but overall it is a really nice course with some outstanding views. Well today we played the joint captains charity day, the sun came out and the course was in pristine condition. The greens were lightening quick too. Credit to the chef who laid on a feast for those hungry golfers. Great day, great club, and looking forwards to next year. The views from the balcony across the Vale to chipping campden and Evesham and beyond are stunning.

I visited the course as a guest (rather than member), having played it 3 or 4 times over the last 2 or 3 years. As was the case on each of my precious visits, I found the condition of the course to be near immaculate. The tee boxes were closely mown and beautifully striped, and the inclusion of small containers on each tee box for your broken tees was a great idea, and clearly being used (I don't recall seeing a single snapped or discarded tee, other than in these containers) The fairways were consistent, and hitting them guaranteed a good lie for your next shot. The rough was not ridiculously penal, but if the grass was growing towards you (away from the green), it definitely made the shot harder. Ultimately it did what rough should, without creating card wreckers. Greens were fast and true, and if you put a good stroke on the ball, the greens repayed you obligingly. Hospitality in the club house after was good, and there was a relaxed feel about the place. The views were spectacular, especially with a pint in hand!
