Such a shame what's happened to this place. Used to be a great little local water but I won't be returning. Since the new owners come in the price has gone up to 12! You have some of the best commercials in the area Lingmere etc only charging 8. There's dead fish floating around, the pond looked polluted when I was there. Probably from the building work. We have to pay 12 because they built a fence and at some stage are putting toilets in? Ridiculous. Nobody will be fishing here at these prices. Yew tree is only a mile away and is 10x the fishery this is. It used to be 7 when Roger was collecting the money. Absolutely gutted what has happened to this place. Used to love fishing here but won't be returning any time soon.

Visited Sunday 9th August , have to say , was disappointed with the standards of the pond . Water level was at least 2ft to 3ft lower than normal. I was fishing one of the pegs nearest to the car park and there was a film of what looked like diesel or petrol on top of the water , which did disappear after about 5 hours ? Noticed one decent perch dead in near corner to were I was fishing also noticed quite a few perch swimming past looking lethargic? Was informed months ago that toilets were being installed , but not as yet , all building work seems to have been put on hold. New owner arrived to collect day ticket money , I had my grandson with me and was charged 20 in total, 12 for myself and 8 for the lad , used to be 7 for myself so was expecting to be charged no more than 11 for both of us , very disappointed, standards have dropped, but day ticket money has gone up...work that one out?, particularly when I fish a large 3 lake commercial over in Parbold , with toilet facilities for 8 a day!!!! .... I would expect to see standards improving for the pond otherwise I for one will not be returning . Please note any photos tagged to this review are from 12 months ago
