Be aware! this guy seems like a nice guy, promises a lot but does very little! He took a big job on with my garden he was meant to remove a large hill of soil which he thought would be top soil , he was happy to take it away for free and put on his land(probably to sell on) when he started the job and realised it was mostly clay soil, he soon lost interest, a job that was supposed to take 3 weeks is still not finished 2 months later, he has now cried off the job, not answering my calls or texts. He took a reasonable amt of money up front 2k to pay for a digger to come in and a new fence, the digger came but I have not seen the fence. He told me it got delivered to his address, he was supposed to have erected it 2 weeks ago, it still has not gone up nor have I seen it.(imaginary fence) he took a further 500.00 off me for said fence but then his van broke down and he had to pay for it to be fixed, Mmmmm, is that where my fence money went? He told me part way through the job that he could not take all the soil away as it would go over budget, we said ok, he said instead he would flatten it and build a supporting wall, guess what, the materials for the wall were getting delivered last Friday, they did not turn up! He will not answer my texts or calls when I try and find out what is happening, I have now told him not to bother coming back. He is a waste of space, he has left us with a garden mess! Half of my old fence is down(garden open to anyone)the soil has not been smoothed over , no supporting wall. He also promised me a months free garden maintenance for the delay's and did apologise a number of times as well as giving me loads of sob stories for reasons not to be on the job, he would turn up when he felt like it and leave when he felt like it, some days he was here for 4 hrs, some for 1 hour but a lot of the 2 and a half months he was meant to be here, he did not turn up at all! Don't give this guy money up front, order your goods yourself to be delivered to your address then at least if he doesn't deliver, you can get someone else in. Better still, don't use him at all. An expensive lesson for me but I'll get over it. I am now getting a real gardener in to complete the job instead of a cowboy! Gail.
