Ambleside Bank

Travelled from North Wales to visit my aunty here after a long period away due to covid restrictions. We were so pleased to see how well she looked and how relaxed and happy she seemd to be. The staff were on hand to support her and she spoke highly of them. Thank you to the team here for providing a safe and happy environment in such challenging times.

My father was only here for 9 months before he sadly passed away but he was very happy. He had always hoped to be independent to the end but several falls meant that couldnt happen. But here he found a new lease of life - he loved all his Carers and we felt they loved him too. He and we thought the world of Theresa; he called her the guvnor and would salute her when he went into her office. He loved the trips out when he was well enough and the entertainers and couldnt miss the memory man. We loved having him nearer to us, meaning we could bring him to our home for family gatherings or I could take him out for a run in my car. We knew he was being looked after well and I was always kept up to date - especially as his health deteriorated. I just wish he could have enjoyed it a bit longer!
