St. John's Church, New Springs

My grand parents are buried there Tommy an Franciss holcroft ! Brought up around new springs , wat a childhood ! Always a place in my hart !

We attended a christening. As a wheelchair user i had access to a ramp to get me inside and i was very pleased to find spaces were available to me on the front row and mt family could sit beside me. When the christening was over we were asked to retire to the rear of the church where we recieved tea, coffee and biscuits. What a nice surprise for everyone.

My mum is buried here and the church looks lovely it's just the graveyard is very over grown and is full of weeds, it seems to have been forgotten by the church these days. It looks unloved and abandoned most of the time as the grass and weeds has grown over most of the plots which really spoils the appearance of everything. It makes going to visit my mum all the more difficult as I have to clear the grass and weeds from all around the plot not just it's border.
