I agreed to buy a car from GVS but on the day I was due to collect the car I was told it might not have an MOT or the service hadn't been carried out and that somebody would call me back in 10 minutes. An hour later and still no call back so I decided to phone them back only to go through to voicemail. 2 hours later I received a WhatsApp message saying the car had failed their pre delivery check and can't be sold. Strange. We had our doubts about the company due to some of the negative reviews but we made excuses for them like "oh, they're probably fake reviews etc". Luckily I didn't leave a deposit otherwise I would've never seen the money again more than likely. Use them at your own risk and definitely don't buy the car unless you've seen it in the flesh. Edit to reply back to owners response: I spoke with and agreed a deal with Dave to collect the car and that I would call back to leave a deposit which I did but nobody got back to me with any bank details. Fast forward to the day of collection and my father in law had made a 1h 45m journey to get to my house only for Gordon to tell me that the car might not be ready because it needed a service. 2 hours later I received a message saying they won't be selling me the car. If it needed a new gearbox why put the car for sale in the first place? Complete waste of my time and my father-in-laws which Is why I've left a review. As for telling a potential customer to grow up - it's not very professional is it.

Paid 28000 for a vehicle with a full service history , in fact the ONLY service record was 6 years and 40k miles previous. Paid 400 for transported delivery, it was DRIVEN 200 miles against my instruction. Bonnet does not close properly so how it passed MOT last week is odd since that is a major or possibly dangerous fault and a fail in any case. Interior cleanliness on delivery adequate no more. Supposed to have been serviced pre delivery but it needed 2 litres of coolant. Oddly my invitation to comment on my complaint has been shall we say overlooked. Trading standards and solicitors are the next stop. In over 45 years of driving, the worst dealer experience Ive ever had. I shall not be a returning customer but heyI bet theyll all sleep at night.

This place took a deposit of me of 300 and went against the company rules and did not return my deposit money back on a car which I had chosen. I was unable to view the car on the chosen date due to a family emergency and they were notified of this beforehand. They kept hanging up my calls by giving me attitude over the phone and ended up selling my chosen car to someone else instead!!! The worst dealership I have ever come across. Please avoid this place as the staff are unprofessional and I lost out on my deposit when it was clearly stated that deposits are refundable!!!
