This place is a joke do not give up your life flat job to go hear if you want the same experience as this just move into a shared house there is no work what so ever around Recovery about what your actually going there for you dont learn any tools how to survive with your addiction outside of this place there is no support when you leave dont not go hear there are many of other places that are far better okay they do have there people at heart but it's not enough to get sober and live in sobriety okay god is a massive factor in your spiritual life big for the mind but its doesn't change you it doesn't take away the urges the cravings you need to learn these tools to do sobriety there turn over in people is ridiculous with only about 7 people that have actually done the program that have stayed sober and that's beacuse they have found someone in there life like a women been open years and years and only 7 people came through bad place bad bad place stay away!!

Having seen the recent negative comment about this charity I felt compelled to write a review in support of the life-saving work it has done and continues to do with a member of my family. The Lighthouse provides a supportive, spiritual and welcoming environment for addiction recovery. I have no doubt it will continue to provide great support so that my family member will continue to live an addiction free life and achieve his lifelong goal of living a happy, independent normal life in society. Thank you for everything.

Lighthouse is a Christian residential centre that I highly recommend to anyone seeking recovery. For me, Lighthouse has always been more than just a rehab - it's been a family. When everyone else rejected me because of my wrong choices, Lighthouse gave me a chance and for that, I am forever grateful. At Lighthouse, you'll find all the necessary structure for someone seeking recovery, but what sets it apart from other Christian organisations is the emphasis on personal responsibility. Here, you'll be empowered to take ownership of your recovery and do the work required to succeed. At Lighthouse, you'll also receive all the support you need from the amazing staff members. They're dedicated to helping you overcome addiction and achieve lasting recovery. As part of the program, you'll have access to counseling sessions, Bible study, voluntary work duties around the house such as gardening and property maintenance. These activities are designed to help you develop a sense of purpose and responsibility, as well as cultivate healthy habits and skills that will serve you well beyond your time at Lighthouse. Overall, I highly recommend Lighthouse to anyone seeking recovery. It's a Christian residential centre that provides the structure, support, and tools you need to succeed. But ultimately, the success of your recovery depends on your approach. If you're willing to take personal responsibility for your recovery, work hard, and use the resources available to you at Lighthouse, you'll be well on your way to achieving lasting recovery. Having read a couple of negative reviews regarding people's experiences in the lighthouse,which I must say, left a bad taste in my mouth,I felt compelled to offer my true and honest review of an organisation that at it's core, is focused on loving,encouraging, motivating and equipping people who have been/are damaged by various addictions or destructive lifestyles. Personally,the Christian input that is on offer, also at the core of the lighthouse works for me,and I find daily strength and encouragement from this part of what's offered. I must say there's definitely no 'cult like' coercion mentioned in a previous review .There's no bible manipulation or heavy handed tactics used by 'cults'! There's people here who have various beliefs and that's ok! On the contrary the onus is on the individual to use the resources offered to help change their lives for the better,ie,a very professional credited Counsellor and other outside agencies if needed. I'm extremely greatful for the opportunity to come to the light-house for the second time! So many people don't make it... It has as stated by other reviews, literally saved my life from the hellish life of alcoholism!! Nothing is hidden from anyone who decides to come here,EVERYTHING is explained beforehand in a pre- entry interview which happens no matter where you go and to whatever organisation. Also, nowhere has it perfect! People will always find fault! Greatfulness brings about positivity in all areas! FINALLY The amazing 'Free' all expenses holiday is definitely 'NOT ' cheap!! Far from it.The expensive rented house is a much loved get-away for a week, where we're treated to luxury, with trips out and other holiday events. Such a peaceful place. In closing, I would highly recommend the lighthouse if your life is out of control and you need help to change your life completely around. As I've said previously, it's a loving,encouraging,motivating organisation that only has the best intrests of the hurting at it's core! The support staff are extremely professional,compassionate and fully understanding of the needs of the individual.
