I specifically called to see if they had a Series 1 Stoke in stock, at the same sale price as online. First guy on the phone told me 4-5 times that they have it for 649. The phone was then passed to another guy who told me to wait until the next week, because it would be significantly cheaper. I told him I don't want to risk coming 5h to London unless it was definite, and he assured me "100%" (verbatim). The next week I make the 30 5h trip to London, and the guy on the phone has no memory of the promise or phone call, and tells me to call again the next day. After some pressing, the best "deal" he can offer me is 649, because they have it listed at 699. After more pressing, I can get the price to 599, but by this point I am so frustrated, the magic of buying a couple of boards is gone. 599 is only 50 lower than the price I was told on the phone anyway, nowhere near the discount I was expecting given the phone call and advice. No sale.

Lovely guys down at the shop. Test ride of the Stoke series 2 and the GTR bamboo series 2! Great fun,Great knowledge an advice given. Worth the long trip!

5 star boards 0 star remotes. These are world class boards make no mistake about it but the fragility of the remotes makes them unfit for purpose. At 115 each constantly replacing them is not sustainable. I've had two break so far and not dropped one yet. Today 10 miles into a ride it just stopped working, the brake switch became inoperable which shorts the whole remote presumably and rightly so for safety. Long walk back to the car. The spring on the brake switch had dislodged, took it apart to put back on and the screen is bleeding when re assembled, along with the screen from my other I had taken apart to identify the fault. This is on a remote no more than 6 months old, bought to replace one that had done exactly the same. Please do your research into other available brands without these remote issues. YYSS are fantastic, Meebo and Trampa all appear to have superior quality equipment. 2 Bamboo GTR for sale and a Carbon, will be supplied with brand new remotes, bought as my last ever purchase from Evolve.
