Wentworth Nursery School

I couldnt have found a better nursery school for our kids if we had created one ourselves. Wentworth is amazing. We have happy children who have blossomed in their development since attending. The head teacher Ben is an inspiring and progressive educator who leads a team of caring, experienced and stable people. The schools focus on the individual childs needs rather than a prescribed level of skill creates a compassionate and supportive learning environment where the kids can reach key developmental milestones without stress. Our youngest is still there and our eldest is now homeschooled and both are doing amazingly well as a result of their experiences at Wentworth. Highly recommend plus they provide 30hrs free care per week.

Wentworth is an excellent nursery. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery. Both of my children has attended/attend and have been well cared for and supported emotionally, socially, educationally and creatively. The play focused programme is rich and full of learning opportunities. The physical space is imaginatively and calmly set up. It is clean and ordered. The staff- many of whom have worked here for a decade or more- regularly transform the rooms and gardens to support the themes. Pirate ships, castles, jungles etc are made. The outdoor play space is a mix of soft and hard landscaping there is a gardener who tends the space and encourages a the children to learn about plants. There is a pond for pond dipping, a regularly used fire pit, mud garden and tree house. Theres a tortoise who is much loved and goes home with kids each weekend. The nursery has a fleet of bikes and most kids leave nursery able to pedal. learning letters and writing is introduced and supported naturally. An inquisitive attitude to learning is encouraged. What more could we wish for. This is a wonderful nursery school. 30hours funded places are available for 3year olds, 15hours for eligible 2 year olds. There is also extended day provision making full day year round care available.
