We had a wonderful time here. The hosts Jeanie and Logan are so friendly and helpful. The house is set up with everything you need, including soaps, towels and the fire ready to go. Garnett Bridge makes you feel like you are stepping back in time and the coal fired Aga helps with that feeling. It's so quiet and peaceful but close enough to get to Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside etc. There is a great local walk, Gatesgarth Pass, which gets you up to waterfalls and then onto Harter fell. Couldn't recommend this enough.

i had a fantastic stay here, the place was super cosy and there was fresh towels laid out. the fire was already set for us and we spent a great couple of nights sitting around the fire drinking tea that we had boiled on the aga. and despite the building being so delightfully rustic it even had some very fast wifi. i would happily stay here again and cannot recommend it highly enough!
