Ann was graciously accommodating to my dietary requirements and made sure I had an equivalent breakfast experience to everyone else. If you're looking for a quiet country getaway with amazing hiking routes and views, you should consider staying here.

Location is excellent with lovely views. The owner and staff gave a lovely welcome and helpful during the stay. Easy access to various points of interest such as Cragside, Alnwick, coast and Cheviots.
Lovely sitting room and area to sit outside. Good large area for hanging clothes with small fridge plus a whole bottle of milk - excellent.
But the room, although pretty, was somewhat wanting. Both the bedding and bed linen was very tired and the bed very firm. The fittings in the bathroom and dressing area are not high quality, which is a shame as it makes them harder to clean. The shower is very small - I am small and struggled in the space.
