As a nurse I have always had a great rapport with the staff at Aliwal and any concerns have been dealt with together; liaising with managers and staff has always been easily achievable and I am aware that staff are well equipped and happy to report any concerns to the nursing team if needed. I would recommend Aliwal and if a member of my family required a residential home I would be happy for them to reside here.

From meeting her Manager and other staff, they are very welcoming and it is obvious that they are committed to providing excellent person-centred care. We dreaded it when we were told that our family member needed to go into a care home. We looked at all local homes and Aliwal Manor appeared to be by far the better one. Since our family member moved there, we have been very pleased with the care she has received. The level of care is high and it gives us great comfort to know that she is somewhere that treats her with dignity and respect. A second reason we are very happy with our choice is the amount of activities and entertainment in the home. They mark and celebrate every significant date in the calader as well as having other regular activities. There is a lovely, well kept outdoor space with chickens and guinea pigs, they encourage their residents to be outside and active. The staff are approachable and accessible, always ready to talk. We feel our family member is in a good place and getting the best posible care.
