A great day out. Paid about 6 for an adult entry. Interesting small museum detailing the history of the Staffordshire regiments through all the major conflicts up to present day. So many interesting artefacts from medals to equipment uniforms to artillery. So many fascinating objects in all of displays. A museum well set out and extremely interesting. Included in the admission price is access to mock trenches which are a real eye opener to what the soldiers must have experienced in WW1. There is plenty of information to educate you and also added sound effects! The trail through the woodland area although small has some fascinating information and also incredible stories on the various soldiers throughout WW1 & WW2. There is a lovely memorial to the fallen which then leads onto the WW2 static displays of a pillbox and Anderson shelter. The Air raid shelter also has the sound effects of an air raid which is quite unnerving to be honest! The museum staff are very friendly and helpful. I bought a picnic as there is not a permanent cafe. There are plenty of places to sit with a picnic. Parking was free and ample. There is even a small play area if you have children. The shop is small but you can purchase soft drinks and small toys and sweets. All in all a good day. Informative, enjoyable and quite reasonably priced.
