We were looking for a holiday rental, not because we wanted to cook every evening, but just to have the space to relax and unwind after a days walking rather than be limited to a hotel room. This gem of a B&B/rental far exceeded our expectations as it provided not only the space we were looking for but a continental breakfast and full sized fridge to store all our bits for packed lunches. The flat was spacious and comfortable with own entrance. Only regrets are that we didn't bring our bikes and also that we had discovered that the settees had flip up sides which would have made evening slobbing in front of the TV much more comfortable! We have already recommended to friends as it's a real find and in a great area.

I stayed at Orchard View at the end of my second days cycling on my Lands End to John O'Groats ride in February 2019. I was immediately made to feel most welcome by the owner, Clare, who had set up a bike rack inside the entrance way to the B&B suite to accommodate my bike in some style. She then showed me around my suite (yes suite) of rooms. These are located in the part of the building above the garage and have their own separate entrance, the left hand door shown in the picture. My suite comprised a double bedroom, a bathroom and a spacious living room with a table and chair and a well appointed kitchenette. All was fresh, modern and spotlessly clean.A continental breakfast was included with a bread (and toaster), croissants, butter, jams, yogurts and fresh fruit. This suited me ideally becasue I was leaving very early, before the dawn, and could make up lots of trail rations to help fuel me through the day. In terms of eating in the evening, there is a fish and chip shop, a Chinese takeaway and a pub about 400 metres down the road. I went for the fish and chips. Very good (I had been on a diet for 6 weeks prior to the ride :) ). The location is quiet and I slept extremely well. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
