Our shed / summerhouse roof was deteriorating, so we decided that instead of replacing it with another traditional roof we would install a "Living Roof" instead. Jake, from Living Roofs UK came round, talked us through things and gave us a quotation which we were happy with. As it was a quiet time of the year (February) he was able to start the project quickly and he worked very hard removing the original roof and replacing it with a sedum alternative. Throughout the project Jake was polite, friendly, approachable and professional, he worked tirelessly and cleared up and removed all the mess leaving the site neat and tidy. The roof looks great and will only get better as the plants bed in and as the weather gets warmer. The cost was very fair and we are delighted with the finished result. Highly recommended. For once I am really happy to be leaving a positive review for a job well done - Living Roofs UK retro-fitted 46 sqm of sedum onto a GRP flat roof extension I recently built at my home (I am a property developer by profession). I initially contacted 3 local firms and Living Roofs UK were not only the sole firm to other to visit the site, but they were also the cheapest (and in one instance by a long way). They were also the most knowledgable, and cheerfully explained the process, options, timescales and benefits. The installation went like clockwork - on schedule and everything left clean and tidy, with Jake and his helper (James) working hard in mixed conditions. On a personal level - Jake is that rare mix of friendly and professional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Living Roofs UK as the whole process was a pleasure from start to finish. Exceeded expectations - Living Roofs UK fitted 52 sqm of sedum with pebbled trimmings onto my flat roof extension which was built a few yrs ago. I did have further quotes from 2 other firms from the local area who didnt come across as knowledgable as LivingRoofs who explained options, timescales & benefits in good detail along with being the cheaper option which really did add depth to their service! The installation itself went very smoothly delivering the finished product well within the timescales I was given, even in testing conditions.To add my garden and path were left cleaner than when the lads got here. Furthermore the lads were very hard working and very friendly adding to the professional service I was given. Living Roofs UK really did live upto my expectations!
