I have been extremely satisfied with the service provided by Ramptons, in particular my advisor,Rich who was both open and honest and not pushy in the slightest. All processes were explained fully and my rights to withdraw at any time was also emphasised. Rich found me the correct deal for me and fully explained his reasoning. I will certainly return to Rich at Ramptons for my impartial financial advice.

Be careful here! Steve rampton the manager was my advisor, he asked me to leave his company when he got greedy & I wouldn't let him take control & invest the rest of my savings so he could take further commissions off them also. After I kept saying no, & Steve felt he couldn't make anymore money/commissions from me, this was then made clear to me when i was asked to leave them. Also steve didnt explained that I could pay direct into my fund. i was told to pay cheques to Ramptons instead, so Steve again got more commissions from my investments. I had to find out myself I could pay direct (into my own account!) but was then told by steve "Well that commission was paying for your tax spreadsheet & now I'm not getting that money, if you still want it you will have to pay extra!" I felt that was dealing under the table & wasn't in our initial discussions either, so felt that was unfair. Begrudgingly to use & pay more to steve, I then had to spend more money & pay a private accountant to do this. There were naturally charges & fee's in my plan with the provider that Ramptoms struggled to explain but eventually did after contacting the provider direct, I just felt that was unprofessional & that they should have known prior themselves or took a personal interest in my plan as they said they would be. Lastly at the start before i was undecided to open a plan with Steve i was made to feel guilty that he had used all that fuel to come visit me & hoped it wasnt a wasted journey, (well thats called working for a living mate!) In fairness emails & telephone call were answered promptly, & i cant speak for rest of staff, but that was my experience with steve. Mrs Sue Hu
