        I was referred by my optician to Optegra and was seen for tests on 31st Oct. I was told I needed cataract surgery for my left eye and they would contact me in 3-4 weeks with a date for my op. By the time I arrived back home (20 mins) they had called me and said they could do the op on 4th Nov!!! To anyone apprehensive about the procedure, don't worry - you are in expert hands. A big shout out to the pre-op team who explained everything and answered any questions. The girls were very reassuring.

        Really pleased with the service and the procedure. 48 hours after surgery my eye was all clear and vision back to as it was before the cataract developed .I had no discomfort after surgery. A special mention for the staff in the pre op section, what a lovely group of ladies.

        Conducted phone interview & told about current medication & past medical history including anaphylactic shock over 12 years ago. Attended pre op. Had all tests & repeated all medical questions including previous anaphylactic shock. Attended for operation on eye. All pre op routines carried out including drops in my eye. Just about to go into room for surgery & staff stopped any further treatment due to anaphylactic history. I understand why but I do not understand why the company didnt stop any further consultation etc after my first interview. I now have worse sight in that eye & have no idea what to do next as they discharged me & saw me off the premises. A good friend used two days of his annual holiday to take me. Will probably have to give up driving due to damage incurred after administration of eye drops.
