I have now tried to purchase a cabinet from Artico online since 25 December. The purchase went through and PayPal sent me a confirmation- but the purchase kept being cancelled by Artico. After trying again 3-4 times with no luck, I used Klarna and that was accepted- only to be cancelled by Artico again. I couldnt understand why. Since there had been so much back and forth, I was worried I had bought FIVE cabinets so I called Artico. After the person checked my name and email, he said because of privacy issues, he couldnt tell me over the phone if I had bought the cabinet or not I was surprised by his answer but I followed his advice to email instead. Henry White at Artico wrote back and confirmed that no cabinet had been purchased. I emailed back asking what I did wrong, but he didn't reply. So I called, leaving my name and email, and was promised that someone would call back, but they never did. Twice! Now I started to be suspicious- why was it so difficult to buy a 700 cabinet!? Trying to understand why no one would call back, I went back in time to when I bought a sideboard from Artico two years ago. There was an issue with delivery and someone called Paul Niewczas was then a customer service agent (according to the emails). Instead of understanding my issue, he became defensive and rude. My problem wasn't that big but because of his rudeness, the issue became a big one. I have all the e-mails saved as proof. So fast forward to today; I wanted to complain to Artico's Manager. I did a simple search on LinkedIn and to my surprise- the rude customer service agent Paul was/is now the Manager!!! It's him stopping me from buying the cabinet- he has consequently held a grudge for two years regarding a petty dispute about delivery (I waited a whole day for the cabinet not to arrive and he said it wasn't his problem). I wish someone had been upfront and honest about it straight away. May I add that the complaint wasnt aggressive or in any way a personal attack. Again, I have all the emails to prove it. I assume a company can refuse service to anyone, but I'm sure I would have a case if I took it further.
