I would not recommend this school to anyone. We sent our child there based on an outstanding ofsted review at a time with a good head teacher. Unfortunately by the time she started that head teacher had left and in my opinion the school has gone way downhill since. They have massive bullying issues there that are not taken seriously enough. They made no record of the bullying incidents we reported to teachers or pastoral and my child was told she was lying even though there was clear proof and evidence from peers and other teachers reporting she was being bullied in break and in class time - bruises dont lie! Bullying incidents were labelled as friendship issues when they were clearly more than that. Indecent physical contact by pupils, cyber bullying, physical and emotional bullying has been experienced by my daughter all of which have either been ignored, been belittled or not enough done about it. In my opinion they need a new ofsted report as its over 5 years since the last and clearly a lot has changed! My child was bullied during classes and was made to leave the classroom because she was crying rather than sending out the bullies that made her cry because they were picking on her! On another occasion she was given a detention for a low score in a test! At the detention the teacher was not there and she was not even offered help to improve her score! In addition children were refused access to a toilet during lesson times. This proved very unfair and embarrassing for her during her monthly cycle on many occasions and even though we had a letter from the doctor explaining her excessive flow, she was repeatedly refused to use the toilet! Progress 8 reports have gone down in the last year too.
