White Hart Hotel

Reserved a table for dinner and that was the only thing that went well. We arrived and got seated and had to wait 20 min for our drinks order. Other people came in with no reservation and served before us. Managed to find someone that could take our order and got the food an hour after being seated. Well food might be a push as no one at the table could eat their food. The only thing I could think of was that Gordon Ramsey would come out and introduce himself as this was all part of his Kitchen Nightmare. Not going back and cutting corners are not working in the restaurant business.

Food & drinks: It was nice to be back in Whitchurch after about 30yrs and to have lunch at the White Hart. We had a family lunch with 13 people, so had sent our food order 1 week in advance and everything was ready for us promptly. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The portions were just right. My niece and mother required gluten free options and there were a couple of suitable meals. (If there could have been a gf burger option that would have been popular as there was a bit of jealousy over the other burgers being appreciated around the table). Friendly and efficient service from all the staff. They are also dog friendly (with a jar of dog treats on the bar) which was great. There is limited parking but we were given good instructions re alternative options for the nearby large car park on Bell Street.
