        The bridge in Whitby compliments the town very well, being well maintained and operated. It can get quite busy on the bridge during Whitby Goth Weekend.

        A very attractive Swing Bridge. The weight limit has been reduced to seven and a half tons. Due to its narrow width the traffic is controlled by lights as it is too narrow for two vehicles to pass each other. It is closed to all traffic during bank holidays, festivals and other busy summer times due to safety concerns of the large crowds attracted to the area.

        A cute little bridge that connects two sides of Whitby Town and it can swing open for the boat to go through. Best location to visit -- Right in town just in front of the harbour.
