Don't know what's happened to this shop. I live a distance away so come when I can to stock up for the freezer and it's a while since I've been (Covid you know). As I'm stocking up, I usually spend a fair bit. I've never had service like this in a shop anywhere. The lady on duty clearly didn't want to be there - it was made clear that I was just an inconvenience to her, she had no patience, not a glimmer of a smile or even any politeness, I made a mistake at one point because I was becoming more and more stressed with her truly awful attitude and had to ask for something that - unfortunately - she had to go back into the back for. I'm sure that, as she went she swore under her breath. She slapped fish down on the scales like she hated it and glared at me like she hated me too. Instead of spending 70 or 80 I gave up and only spent 40, which I'm sure they're not bothered about. The fish wasn't priced or labelled and so I would have had to ask her what it was. I just couldn't. I couldn't put her to that very obvious trouble. As we left, my husband asked me 'What on earth that was about?'. I don't know. I think I was polite and courteous and don't know what I did to deserve such ire. I see I'm not the only reviewer to comment on this, so may it wasn't just me after all The fish pie, which I was so looking forward to, was awful. I used to love it - there was 4 pieces of salmon, 3 of white fish and two tiny shrimp. The sauce was grainy and unappetising and grey and tasted of nothing. And the 'large' was anything but. Massively disappointed and I've been left feeling awful. They've lost a good customer for life because of how this experience has left me feeling. I didn't deserve it. The only reason for this review is to try to clear for me how bad I've been made to feel. It ruined my day and it's still on my mind. Most of the reviews are good so maybe I and the other reviewer just came on a really bad day. But no-one should have to be treated like that on any kind of day. I notice they only respond to good reviews, which is really a mistake. No business can afford to lose customers, surely? I really hope this review isn't removed, otherwise what's the point of reviews.

Outstanding Service , response times and quality of seafood. The Oysters were amazing and quality of Scallops were second to none . Ensured the evening was a resounding success. Ordered again and can't recommend highly enough . Quality and service , superb

Visited today to make a purchase. The lady serving me was just so unfriendly. I was polite but not a single smile from her. She was really rude. No customer skills whatsoever. Maybe get a job elsewhere
