Very friendly people with one of the best collection of lapel pins that I have ever seen. I bought one and will likely return to buy another .........or more likely several others. I just wish I could find a description of their pins online. David R. Filbey-Haywood

AVOID IF YOU ARE USING SCOTTISH NOTES!! Zero stars!! We visited Whitby for the first time today. (Myself, partner, 4 year old daughter, my parents and my mother in law). We had a great day... lunch, crabbing, shopping, sight seeing, visiting The Abbey. We then decided to pick up some souvenirs. My mother in law and I went into Ship-In-The-Bottle. I picked up some magnets and a few random things. Got to the cash desk and female cashier stated it had come to 11. I handed her 21 and she says "I'm going to be a nuisance. Do you have a 10 note? I'm not accepting 20 Scottish notes. I have had 4 fakes in the last week" I replied that I would just leave it and instructed my mother in law to do the same. The cashier then says "I can take a card payment" I didn't even respond - I have never been so insulted in my life! I exited the shop but wish I had suggested that she should invest in a counterfeit note detector prior to doing so. FOUR fake notes in a week?? Very doubtful.
