DONT TRUST THE GUY, YOUR TRIP IS NOT SAFE. I booked 2 months in advance and messaged the guy 4 times in between booking and the actual trip, he said the trip was all still fine, the day before the trip he sent me a text message to say he had accidentally over booked and was full and I couldnt go. I know he had booked a group on and fobbed mr off cause I was on my own. Use costal fisher, he is much better

Booked for this weekend just gone, we booked an overnight stay in whitby so we could get up and get straight off. 7pm the night before we received a text to say the trip was cancelled due weather even though it was sunny and no wind. Luckily we got another trip booked that night with the crusader in Scarborough. This guy is known to cancel last minute for poor reasons. I would not recommend

Booked for myself and 4 excited kids. Confirmed by text a few days before. Come the morning of the trip no sign of anyone, didn't answer the phone. Boys were gutted. Total waste of a day off.Really disappointing but according to locals this happens often now. I WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE.

I booked a fishing trip around a fortnight in advance, travelled up the night before and stayed in an apartment in Whitby with 2 of my boys. All was good until 2 hours before the trip, I got a text message from the son of the owner telling me my trip was cancelled as there was a mix up with my booking and as the other party had booked the whole boat, my trip was cancelled! I asked the son if he could help me out as we had travelled especially to fish. He tried to get us another trip later that day but basically said they wouldn't take just us out as it wasn't worth it financially. I approached the father and owner and suggested that after speaking to his son, he should offer to pay for my hotel as I had had a wasted trip - he was very rude and basically said, I own the company, its my boat, I can cancel without notice or reason!! Avoid these guys at all costs, after speaking to another helpful lady who booked us, and actually took us, on a trip the same day, it wasn't the first time she had to bail out a customer of Whitby Fishing Trips!! Their website says they pride themselves on their customer service, sadly I was very very far from experiencing any customer service at all! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
