If you are looking for a small intimate countryside pub serving authentic British food in the heart of the countryside, this is it. You can anticipate, low beams, uneven floors, real fireplaces and a rustic all round feel for this sweet little pub! The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with kids and dogs all welcome, high chairs kids menus are available. We saw lap dogs to Irish wolf hounds, and all were accommodated with a suitable table! The bar had a variety of wines, spirits, and beers or ciders on tap! The food was all good, nothing over the top and fancy but "does what is says on the tin" pub grub! Our starters were good sizes, the soup looked lovely and fresh too! My beefburger was lovely and my friends had the chicken, the pie and the tart and all said theirs were tasty too. The deserts also all failed to disappoint, my crme brul was crunchy and sweet, with delicious fruit on top! So in all, 9 happy customers, and we would gladly go back to try some more of the menu again!
