Excellent accommodation at Topthorn Barn, we booked this family holiday for 9. (7 adults and 2 children) highly recommend booking through Skyes Cottages. Very clean and tidy throughout. Stunning views, rural quiet location, we woke to the sound of lambs each morning. Lovely walks around the barn, we ventured out and explored the whinfell Beacon mountain. The barn was warm and had everything we could possibly need. A play room, a games room, utility room. Smart televisions. Large dining table And aga, perfect for us as all. Our family ages from 6 years old to 54 years and it was a perfect holiday enjoyed by all. To explore Lake District we did have to drive 30-40 minutes to reach a shop or town, but we did enjoy the views along the way. Lots of leaflets and guides were provided in the barn, we enjoyed lots of walks, visited Lowther Castle, explored the Aira Force and Ghyll Force Waterfalls and the cathedral caves and climbed Whinfell Beacon and Place Fell Mountain.
