We would 100% recommend the Shepard's hut to anyone looking for a romantic getaway, very cosy but I has everything you need. Self check in made it so much easier with owner popping round later in the day to collect payment Rooms: The shepards hut had 2 rooms kitchen+bedroom with a private detached toilet/shower room.

We were competition winners and could not thank the owners enough. We had one night stay, it was not long enough! Extremely clean, gorgeous location. Well equipped too. (Maybe some coat hooks would be good as our wet coats had no where to dry) The location is beautiful, quiet and relaxing with a few minutes walk into Gibside making it that little extra special. The added fire wood hot tub, and the free meat and eggs pack was also a lovely touch. (This was part of the prize) I know people say they never win but generally I dont, we stopped all plans to take up the Prize!! We will definitely return. We loved the hot tub and the peaceful, tranquil surroundings with nature on the door step was fab! Thank you again!
