On a clear day you can see well over to Leeds, Bradford, even as far as Emley Moor mast 20 miles away. I recommend bringing a pair of binoculars to take full advantage. Spectacular 360 degree view. Great scenery.

An ideal place to stop for a break and enjoy the fabulous view. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, the stones serve as a useful shelter, although I'd recommend being equipped with a tarp.

Take time to look around the rocks there are some quiet unusual rock carvings some clearly more modern than others. At the rear of the rocks there appears to be the remains of a dry stone wall covered by a flat slab. Local farmers have referred to this place as The Castle as to its high view point and excellent views. There are numerous burial mounds on Ilkley Moor whether this is one I don't know but there is definitely something unusual about the lay of land immediately to rear of the this rocky outcrop.
