Located in a small village on the back roads between Belsay and Morpeth this pub is fantastic. It is easy to find and there is well kept car parking at the rest of the property. We visited as a family and were sat down near the door. Although a bit chilly when the door was opened they had the heaters on so it soon got warm again The restaurant is very clean and cosy. You almost feel like you are sitting at home with the carpeted floors and clean refurbished space. The layout plays into that cosy feel withdining spaces that looked like they seat about 20 in each. The staff were great, really attentive and willing to adopt the menu to deal with a fussy eating child we had with us. We had as a family roast beef, pork and fish & chips that I cant say enough nice things about. They were very generous roasts and they didnt scrimp on the additional gravy. The fish & chips, were I was told amazing, which for a child that rarely lifts his head from his phone, high praise indeed. The Sunday roast on its own was 20 each, but as we reflected we were all stuffed after it so felt it was actually really good value. If you havent been I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back again.
