We had an excellent stay at the Bourneville Hotel over the August Bank Holiday. The hotel is ideally located with a wonderful seafront view. Michael made us feel very welcome right from our initial booking & has been incredibly helpful. We look forward to returning in the near future. Shocking. We booked 2 months ago to make sure we have a holiday booked once the lockdown lifts. We have had a total of 3 holidays cancelled throughout the last 12 months due to COVID so we felt so happy to have a holiday booked in Weymouth with a sea view this summer. We received a phone call today stating that the owner is cancelling our holiday as it is "uninhabitable" and they need to close to refurbish it. The recent reviews on trip advisor say it is spotless - who closes a hotel over the high season for refurb when it is already in good condition? Something funny is going on - So don't book here as you might get your holiday cancelled and find yourself with nowhere to stay! The owner has no customer service skills or common courtesy. If you want a holiday guaranteed, seriously, don't book here.
